How to Use OraCare in Different Scenarios

In Office Uses

Pre-Rinse This is the standard of care for every patient on every procedure. Have patient rinse for 30 seconds before you start any procedure.

Post Rinse this will help them feel refreshed and will promote the healing process.

In-Office And Take Home

Irrigation For Perio

  • Tell them you have a product that you will use during the procedure and they need to take home and rinse 2 times a day.
  • Open their bottle.
  • Have them pre-rinse as normal. Also, irrigate pockets with an endodontic syringe before scaling.
  • After scale and root plan, fill a syringe and irrigate around each pocket.
  • Have them do a Post Rinse.
  • Give them their box to take home. A water flosser is also recommended with OraCare.
  • Make sure to put the code and fee down for the OraCare.

Treatment For Pericornitis

  • Tell them you have product that you will use during the procedure and they need to take home and rinse 3 times a day.
  • Open their bottle.
  • Have them pre-rinse as normal.
  • Fill a syringe and irrigate around the infected area. Bite on gauze for 1 minute.
  • Have them do a Post Rinse.
  • Give them their box to take home. They can also irrigate the area with a water flosser and OraCare.
  • Make sure to put the code and fee down for the OraCare.

Extractions

  • Tell them you have a product that you will use during the procedure and they need to take home and rinse 3 times a day.
  • Open their bottle.
  • Pre-rinse with Oracare before surgery.
  • Soak a gauze and have them bite on gauze for 1 minute.
  • Give them their box to take home.
  • Make sure to put the code and fee down for the OraCare.

At Home Use

Bleeding Gums

  • Enroll them in OraCare and have them rinse 2 to 3 times a day.

Bad Hygiene

  • Because chlorine dioxide breaks down bioflim, which is what plaque is, it helps people with poor hygiene.
  • Enroll them in OraCare and have them rinse 2 to 3 times a day.

Ortho Patients

  • Again same as above. I would also sell them an AirFlosser.
  • Have them fill up the Airflosser with Oracure and use it in between each tooth.
  • Have them Rinse with Oracare after.
  • Enroll them in OraCare and have them rinse 2 to 3 times a day.

Bad Breath

  • In a University of Iowa study, Oracare was shown to eliminate VSCs (cause of bad breath) better than any other product.
  • Enroll them a bottle of Oracare and have them rinse 2 to 3 times a day.
  • Sell them a Tongue Scraper.
  • These two things will take care of 98% of all bad breath problems.

After Placing Temps

  • This tremendously helps with inflammation and recession around temporaries.
  • Enroll them in OraCare and have them rinse 2 to 3 times a day.

Maintenance For Bleaching/Whitening

  • Remember the active ingredient in Oracare works by Oxidizing. This is the same process as Whitening.
  • Enroll them in OraCare and have them rinse 2 to 3 times a day.
